Patch 2.3 Improves Class Balance in “Legends of Rune”

The MMORPG Legends of Rune received Patch 2.3, one of the most anticipated balance updates from the community in recent months. After weeks of intense feedback on official forums and competitive match reports, the developers thoroughly revised the most problematic classes and fixed exploits that had been hurting the PvP experience since the last major expansion.

What Changed in the Classes

The Shadowblade and Arcanist classes were the most affected. The Shadowblade, which had dominated PvP rankings with an excessive combination of mobility and damage, had its stealth damage multiplier reduced by 18% and the cooldown of the Void Step ability increased from 6 to 9 seconds. The Arcanist, on the other hand, received buffs: its magic shields now scale better with support attributes, making it viable in group compositions without the need for hybrid builds.

Less popular classes such as the Warden and the Ritualist were also adjusted, with improvements to abilities that rarely appeared in high-level rotations. The team's stated goal is to expand the diversity of viable classes in tournaments, which currently revolved around just four combinations.

Exploit Fixes and General Improvements

The patch fixed two critical exploits: one that allowed duplication of rare items via inventory synchronization and another that made it possible to leave combat state improperly during guild confrontations. Both had been known to the community for weeks and were being exploited in competitive servers. The team promised retroactive punishments for accounts that systematically abused the bugs.

Additionally, loading times between zones were reduced by an average of 22% thanks to a refactoring of the asset streaming system. The patch also introduces improvements to the guild management interface and a new notification system for temporary events. Reception was mostly positive, with the community praising the transparency of the patch notes.
