UltraView 32Q Monitor Review — Image Quality and HDR

The UltraView 32Q is UltraView's new 32-inch 4K monitor aimed at content creators and professionals working with visual production. With a Nano Color IPS panel, peak brightness of 600 nits, and 98% DCI-P3 color space coverage, the product positions itself below professional reference monitors like the EIZO ColorEdge, but above traditional gaming monitors in color accuracy. We tested the equipment with a colorimeter and in real editorial use.

Image Quality and Color Coverage

In measurements with the X-Rite i1Display Pro Plus, the UltraView 32Q achieved 97.3% of DCI-P3 and 79.2% of BT.2020 in the factory pre-calibrated Cinema mode. The average Delta-E was 1.8 — excellent for the price, and below the visual perception threshold of 3.0 under normal evaluation conditions. The maximum brightness of 580 nits (measured) with active HDR delivers noticeably richer HDR content experiences than the 350-400 nits common in monitors in the same price range.

The minimum brightness of 5 nits allows working in dark environments without eye strain, and the automatic brightness control based on an ambient sensor works well in practice. Panel brightness uniformity was good, with a maximum variation of 8% between the center and edges — within what we consider acceptable for photographic use.

Ergonomics, Connectivity, and Verdict

The stand allows 13 cm height adjustment, tilt, swivel, and pivot — all the movements professionals need. Inputs include DisplayPort 1.4, two HDMI 2.1, two USB-A 3.2, and a USB-C with 90W Power Delivery to charge laptops. The integrated USB hub is a practical differentiator that eliminates the need for a separate dock for simple setups. For photographers, video editors, and designers who want color accuracy without the cost of a reference monitor, the UltraView 32Q delivers a hard-to-beat value proposition.
