LinkPro Mesh Router Review — Coverage for Large Homes
The LinkPro is LinkTech's new mesh router system aimed at large homes and complex floor plans. With three tri-band Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) hardware units included in the box and support for up to 200 simultaneously connected devices, the system promises stable coverage in up to 650 m² and simplified management via app. We tested the LinkPro for four weeks in a two-story house with 320 m² of built area.
Real-World Coverage and Speed
We positioned the three units according to the app's recommendations — main node near the entry router, two secondary nodes at strategic points on each floor. In all 22 measurement points distributed throughout the house, including the upstairs bathroom, garage, and utility room, we obtained a minimum download speed of 280 Mbps with a contracted 1 Gbps plan. Points near the mesh units reached 780 Mbps.
Average gaming latency was 8ms on the connection to the nearest edge server, with a maximum variation of 3ms over 100 consecutive pings — a stable result confirming the system's quality for competitive use. Failover between nodes happened without noticeable interruption to active connections during our mobility tests.
Management, Security, and Verdict
The management app is one of the most complete we've tested: it displays a map of connected devices, bandwidth consumption per device, connection history, and allows creating guest networks with isolation and speed limits in three taps. The automatic firmware update system kept all nodes synchronized without any intervention during the test period. For large homes where a single Wi-Fi router doesn't reach all rooms with quality, the LinkPro resolves the problem elegantly and without complex configuration.
